Frequently Asked Questions

Over the years we think we have been asked every question we are ever going to be asked about a conference. Over the coming months, those questions will be listed and answered here. But, if you have any new ones for us, please email us and let us know.

What is ISRP?
The International Society for Respiratory Protection, ISRP, is a non-profit body whose charter is to provide an educational and informational service to all individuals involved in respiratory protection. The Society convenes conferences at various locations around the world at regular intervals. The main purpose of ISRP is to bring together occupational health and safety professionals in the field of respiratory protection to share ideas and research findings.

What is the conference about?
The purpose of the conference is to share the latest in respiratory protection research with the international community.  The conference will include presentations (both live and on-demand), posters, and an exhibition.

Does the conference count towards my continuing education requirements?

ISRP conferences traditionally meet the criteria of several bodies (e.g. ABIH, BCSP, NSPE, and ISHM) for continuing education.  Once the exact program is confirmed we will provide the estimated number of technical contact hours.  Certificates of attendance will be provided on request to valid conference attendees.

Why Virtual?

While some regions are returning to a functional new normal, we were concerned that international travel restrictions would not allow the conference to offer the true international in person engagement that traditionally is experienced.  We also felt the virtual experience and the ability to have the conference available around the clock will enable engagement from multiple regions to better educate and share knowledge around respiratory protection.

How long should a presentation be?

Each paper is expected to run for about 20 minutes including 5 minutes for questions and comments. Session Chairs will be under strict instruction to keep to the program on time.

What is the difference between Live and On-Demand presentations?

Live presentations will be presented at an advertised time and offer the opportunity for live question and answers from the audience.  Live presentations will be made on-demand the day after the live presentation.  Live presentation sessions will be staggered to ensure each of our six sections has an opportunity to attend at least one live session during their normal working hours.

On-Demand presentations will be made available at the beginning of the conference and continue to be available up to one month after the start of the conference.  Attendees to the conference will have the opportunity to ask questions of the presenters and receive feedback during the conference month.

How do I submit my paper or poster?

The call for papers is now closed.

I am a member.  How do I get my discount code?

Members in good standing (dues paying member) will see a vFAIRS discount code on the My Account page of the members area on isrp.com.  If you can log into your account but do not see the vFAIRS discount code it is likely you are not renewed for this year.  Please go to My Membership & Renewals to select your current membership and renew.  If you have trouble logging in or your section uses a different method for payments, please contact your section secretary directly.

I am an employee of a member organization.  Do I get a discount?

Employees of member organizations are eligible for the member rate at ISRP conferences.  Please contact your organization’s membership account Point of Contact for your discount code.

Should my company be a sponsor?
ISRP relies on the goodwill and generosity of sponsoring organizations to make the conference a success and financially viable. By sponsoring the conference you will receive special benefits as well as a number of advertising opportunities. There are several levels of sponsorship available.  Every sponsorship, no matter how big or small, will be greatly appreciated by your Society, will help raise the quality of the conference overall, and will provide lasting exposure to your organisation.  A limited number of sponsorships are also available at platinum, gold, silver and bronze levels, as are booths in our exhibition hall (which are included in sponsorship). We would encourage you to contact us before 1 April to reserve your sponsorship or booth in order to obtain full training support, with a final deadline of 22 April. Your logo will be placed on the conference site, and at various locations over the conference venue, depending on sponsorship level. Contact us at  isrp2022@isrp.com to obtain the full sponsorship pack information and to reserve your spot.

Is there an exhibition?
Yes. Exhibit your products and services virtually.  Show your latest innovations to an influential and widely experienced audience.  Meet and mix with decision makers, scientists, and professionals from around the world.  Make inquiries to isrp2022@isrp.com for exhibition details.

What about refunds?

Cancellations of registration will be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the start of the event.  Refunds will be processed on a rolling basis.  Refunds will be in full, less applicable transaction fees.
